Mural Competition [THE SHOW: Graduate Showcase]

The Design School hosted a showcase highlighting previous students' works from  undergraduate courses; Creative Media, Fashion Design Technology and Interactive Spatial Design. We were encouraged to join several activities held during the event, including a themed mural competition (Unity in Diversity) with RM2000 worth of prizes. A few friends and I decided to form a group of eight people to participate in the competition.

CHARACTERS

For the overall theme, we decided to go for a fantasy theme where three different species come together as one. In terms of character design, we agreed on them being based on different parts of a tree; the branch, flower and leaf. They were also given tiny companions designed by Loh Kai Xuan.

COMPOSITION

As for composition, we prepared a shared canvas using Magma to draw out our ideas. Afterwards, we took a vote on which composition to use.
