PROJECT 1

Website Redesign Proposal

For Project 1, we are required to create a proposal to redesign a website based on how it can be improved, whether it be certain elements or an entire makeover. The proposal consists of an analysis of the existing website, including its layout and functionality, as well as the design proposal itself with reasoning behind the choices made by us.

Website Analysis Content:
  • Current Design Evaluation
  • Functionality
  • Redesign Goals
  • Target Audience
  • Design Proposal
  • UX Enhancement
Chosen Website: https://www.tropusikert.hu/

REFLECTION

Experience: When I first found out about us having to learn Interactive Design, I was excited to study the module since I get to recap what I've learned in Computer Science in high school. So far, I do enjoy this module, even though the coding part can get a bit confusing at times especially as we go deeper into the language.

Observation: From what I have seen, interactive design and coding in general can be easy for some but harder for others, especially those who have no experience in doing coding outside of maybe editing the Blogger html to include jump links based on Mr. Vinod's video... and even then I found out I could have just used the id calling function instead of using the post link itself.

Findings: When doing the proposal as well as the exercises, I tend to look through websites such as W3Schools and Stack Overflow for additional information on what I want in my coding. I found that by doing this, you can get stuck with an overcomplicated work if you don't know how to use those websites properly as sometimes they would give you the longer solution to a problem rather than the short straightforward one.
