 TYPE EXPLORATION:

This font was made based on the wild runes on Arcane and how their patterns spread to various objects. I decided to do something similar to the patterns' behaviour by creating additional glyphs consisting of letter combinations of two or more letters with some of the capital connections changing when a certain word or letter is typed before it.

REFLECTION

EXPERIENCE: Advanced Typography is an experience that is very different from Typography in the first semester. The assignments were a lot more fun and flexible because you can integrate the things you like in a subtle or obvious way, which makes the assignments more enjoyable despite how time-consuming some of them are (like task 3). It taught me a lot of things in terms of design and how typography can make or break said design. Additionally, it also gave me a lot of respect to people who dabble in typography as their work after having a glimpse of what they have to do, especially with how old some of the softwares such as Fontforge.

OBSERVATION: Based on what I have seen from my friends and seniors' work, as well as my own, I found that despite how rigid it can be on surface level, there are many things in Typography that can be flexible enough in terms of designing if you brainstorm enough while still considering the readability and function.

FINDINGS: From what I found when looking through references,Typography can act as a canvas that encompass a variety of themes. However, as exciting as it is, you also need to know your limit.
